Update after the weekend: nothing.

Answering the question (update today?), Rayza added the word "sorry" after saying "nothing".

so far

After countless hours of discussion over more than 2 years,

Despite a science background, just like the vast majority of scientists, Rayza finally understood and admitted that his mind adopt beliefs based on a process equal to a religious person.

which mean it adopt beliefs without thoroughly examining the ideas behind it, without having to make sense.

Clearly, changing the way his brain adopt new beliefs and making this process a conscious one will help sorting out the enormous mess of often contradictory beliefs, help de-clutter the mind and allow it to function more efficiently.

All of those messy beliefs led to a collection of emotional reactions that is a great obstacle to his life.

a great big collection of often contradictory negative emotional reactions.

Preventing him from doing what he wants and rendering him a slave of his emotional reactions.
Spending his life trying to avoid activating too many negative emotional reactions, which is not easy to do when a bunch of those are contradictory.

again, changing the way his brain adopt new negative emotional reactions and making this process a conscious one will help sorting out the enormous mess, help de-clutter the mind and allow it to function more efficiently.

Now the challenge is to find a situation in which he can actually be free enough from the strangling hold of his negative emotional reactions to get him to begin to sharpen his attention, so he can look at the situation he is facing in his mind more clearly.
this would happen through visual Samadhi, which is the best method as far as i know, for people with hyperactive mind in this very visual era.

Unfortunately, Rayza have a very strong emotional reaction that he avoid by playing video games at night, so it is very difficult to find a window of opportunity to get him started with the visual meditation.

He said he was going to try it, and report.

So everyday i will ask for an update and take it from there.

Hopefully i can come up with an efficient strategy to help him create more opportunities for visual meditation.
Hopefully something that he find cool will happen to him quickly so he can get hooked and start exploring.
